Discover Top-Quality Scionwood for Fruit and Nut Trees
From Our Orchards in
Colorado and Texas
Where We Grow:
Masonville, Stove Prairie & Wimberley Orchards
Two of our orchards are located in the scenic Masonville Valley and surrounding foothills near Stove Prairie, west of Loveland, Colorado and Fort Collins, overlooking the Front Range. The region’s warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for growing high-quality fruit, including apples, pears, and stone fruits. Our third orchard is located in Central Texas, near Wimberley, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country fruit-growing region.
The Masonville Valley is a historic area known for its rich tradition of fruit orchards. Situated at an elevation of 5,500 feet, it experiences warm days and cool nights, perfect for developing premium fruit flavors. Late spring frosts can challenge early-blooming varieties, making careful management essential for orchard success.
Our Stove Prairie orchard, at 7,200 feet elevation, benefits from later blooms that avoid spring frosts. The growing season is shorter, limiting which fruits can be cultivated, but the quality of the fruit is exceptional. Wildlife, such as bears and elk, often enjoy the fruit before harvest, adding to the challenge of maintaining a high-quality orchard.
The Wimberley, Texas orchard is located near the historic Fredericksburg Peach-growing region, famous for Fredericksburg Peaches. The hot Texas days and warm nights produce outstanding peaches, nectarines, plum hybrids, and low-chill apples, perfect for home gardeners, orchardists, and grafting enthusiasts looking for premium fruit tree scionwood.
